The New Way® Viper™ is one of the most popular mid-compaction rear-load garbage truck bodies on the market today. It is a lighter, faster version of the industry-leading New Way Cobra™. Available in 9, 11, and 13-yard models, the Viper is more maneuverable than its larger counterparts and comes in under height restrictions that older municipalities must contend with.
The ever-popular 11-yard Viper does not require a CDL to operate as it is commonly sold on chassis under 26,000 lb. GVWR. It’s the perfect refuse collection vehicle for small-volume residential routes and a reliable, durable favorite of fleet managers from coast to coast.
Automatic tailgate locks come standard on the Viper. The control handle is located on the side of the chassis, which eliminates the time and effort needed to go back and forth to operate the traditional turnbuckle locks.
